![]() This machine was designed and built for Worth Inc. in Tullohoma, TN. This prototype helped pioneer a new method for the manufacturing of softballs and baseballs. The machine incorporates a 3-axis Cartesian robot system for moving and positioning blank ball covers around a specially modified sewing machine. The machine picks a ball cover from an indexable stack, moves the blank cover to the machine, and sews the circumference of the ball cover, placing the stitches in exact alignment. Machine Cost $88,000.00. |
